Energy

  • Movement sensors controlling lighting in low-usage areas
  • Independently controlled heating provision in individual room

Waste

  • Recycling of all glass products
  • Recycling of all cardboard products
  • Recycling of all cooking oil

Conference

  • Use of recycled paper for conference pads
  • Use of biodegradable pens made from corn products

Transport

  • 75% of staff use public transport / bicycles to get to work
  • Cycle racks provided for delegates
  • Public Transport/Park and Ride promoted as the preferred means of accessing The Centre

  • Fair-trade coffee, tea, and sugar
